In 1964, igus® began in a double garage in Cologne. For 20 years, the company worked to supply complex technical polymer components. Then In 1983, it established injection molded polymer bearings and reinforced plastic energy chain systems as two product groups and set up a large network of sales engineers. These seemingly unrelated products are linked together through the belief in making functionally advanced, yet affordable polymer components and assemblies. Igus has grown to more than 2,500 employees distributed worldwide.
